What It Is and How It Works
Heart-Centered Counseling has expanded our services to provide Tele-Mental Health services for clients who cannot make it to one of our seven offices in Colorado. Having the option to place a video call to one of our licensed therapists is a great help for individuals, couples or children/teenagers living in rural areas as well as those who have a disability or illness that prevents them from traveling easily. It’s also intended for clients who live in other cities who want to make us their main source for counseling services or for those who’d just be more comfortable with a tele-session.
What is Tele-Mental Health?
Tele-Mental Health is a service that provides clients with the same counseling services offered in our physical locations via video conferencing. All that is needed is an internet connection with enough bandwidth to support video streaming, an electronic device such as a computer, tablet or smartphone with WiFi capabilities, and a quiet, private space in a home. The service is available for anyone who wants to schedule a virtual appointment with one of our licensed therapists.
How Do Teleservices Work
Tele-Mental Health or Tele-Therapy takes place when a client requests the service and schedules an appointment. Our patient coordinators will send an email link that provides access to a video conferencing room online where counseling services take place. The therapist stays in his or her office to ensure that the appointment remains strictly confidential.
If life’s circumstances have prevented you from seeking the counseling services that you require, tele-therapy offers you the flexibility of seeing a counselor without the need to leave your own home. You’ll receive the same amount of time and attention that you would if you were to visit one of our physical locations in Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley, and Littleton. All services are discreet, confidential, and personal based on your unique needs.
